Set among the trees on the extensive Penlan Holiday Park at Cenarth, Tan y Coed Lodge offers a comfortable hideaway close to the beautiful Cenarth Falls on the famous River Teifi and just a few miles drive from Cardigan Town and some of the most spectacular beaches on the Cardigan Bay coast including Mwnt and Poppit Sands.

Tan y Coed is a comfortable 3 bedroom lodge with open plan sitting / dining area. The sitting room has a comfortable three piece suite and a gas fired cast iron stove. There is a TV with VCR and DVD player. The sitting rooms opens with French doors onto an open timber veranda with seating overlooking the adjoining fields and woodland. There is a large childrens' playground.

Adjoining the open plan sitting area, two steps lead down to the dining area. The well equipped galley kitchen has an electric oven with gas hob. There is an under-counter fridge with ice box, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere and plenty of crockery, glassware, cutlery, cooking utensils and cookware.

There are three bedrooms, two doubles and a third bedroom with 2 built in full size (3 foot wide) bunk beds. A bedguard is provided for the top bunk. Duvets and pillows are provided, but bed linen and towels must be brought by the guests. There is a shower room with shower cubicle, WC and wash basin.

This park is a quiet leafy family-oriented resort with its own bar and restaurant, games room and swimming pool - there is no extra charge to visitors for these facilities. The park is just a few minutes drive from Cenarth and from the famous Nags Head Inn and Micro-Brewery with its family friendly riverside dining area and celebrated menu to include fresh Teifi Sewin (Sea Trout) in season.

  • The Local Area -  Cenarth is a charming little community straddling the river Teifi between Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn. Here, the River Teifi has made its way through the hard rocks to produce a spectacular series of waterfalls. The Teifi has always been famous for its Salmon, and it is recorded that over one hundred Salmon have been taken in a single morning as they attempted to leap the falls on their way up river to spawn.
