Mindraeth is a recently renovated superb centrally heated pet friendly Georgian
traditional Welsh seaside house with Wi-Fi sleeping up to 10 plus a baby - bed
linen is provided but not towels.
The translation from Welsh of Mindraeth is ‘going to the
beach’ and this is certainly reflected in the position of the house which
sits directly above Dolau Beach in New Quay, West Wales.
The house is beautifully decorated in neutral colours with lots of wooden floors, comfy sofas, thick duvets and welsh woollen blankets. We have several gorgeous paintings by our favourite artist James Maceown.
On the ground floor the house has a large sitting room with 40" flatscreen TV and DVD plus a wood burning stove – fabulous for curling up in front of on a cold winter's day or night listening to the waves crashing beneath. The hand-built wooden kitchen has all the mod cons including a dishwasher and microwave and the dining table which looks out over the sea seats eight to ten people plus 2 high chairs available if required.
We have a glass conservatory with rattan seating adjoining the kitchen and also a utility room with washing machine, ironing facilities, freezer and loo. On the first floor there are three bedrooms; two very spacious doubles with sea views and a single facing the garden area, which has a pull out bed beneath and also a cot. The family bathroom has a bath, WC and a separate shower.
On the second floor we have a shower room with WC and basin and the best sea views in the house. There are also two loft bedrooms; one double and the other a twin. So, in total we can sleep 10 people plus the cot.
The garden has a large decked area with built in BBQ and a sloping lawn. At the top of the garden we have a wooden swinging seat where on a clear day you can see as far as the mountains of Snowdonia.

one of the best places to see the Bottlenose Dolphins for which Cardigan Bay
The sheltered harbour and safe beaches are the focus of activity in the summer when New Quay becomes a bustling and vibrant holiday resort where boat trips, sailing, fishing, water sports and relaxation, are among the main attractions.
