This character beamed 18th century cottage is
situated in the quiet hamlet of Whitchurch, Solva. On the edge of the
old St David’s airfield nature reserve and only 4.5 miles from one of
the best surfing beaches in Wales, it is ideal for walkers,
birdwatchers, surfers and families just wanting to get away from it
all. The picturesque harbour town of Solva (¾ of a mile) from the
cottage offers a wide selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs.

The
cottage remains snug all year round, courtesy of a Rayburn cooker,
which provides central heating and plenty of hot water. There is also a
wood burner in the sitting room for extra warmth.
The ground floor comprises : - large sitting room / dining area
complete with wood burner, TV, DVD/video player, iPod deck and large
selection of DVDs; the dining area will sit 8 and a high chair is
provided; a large bathroom with newly fitted bath and electric shower
cubicle; double bedroom with built in wardrobes; the kitchen houses the
Rayburn which provides all heating and hot water and is ideal for slow
cooking (recipes and instructions provided), dishwasher, microwave,
fridge/freezer, gas hob and conventional electric oven. The utility
room has extra freezer capacity and washing machine.

The first floor comprises of one double and one twin room.
There is a large mature garden at the front and back of Treflodan
with a number of fruit trees; the rear garden is enclosed and secure. A
patio area has outdoor table and chairs for 8 and 2 barbeques. There is
a garage to the side of Treflodan with outdoor table tennis and
table football, and parking for 2 cars at the front.

Pets are welcome at a charge of
£15 per animal.
The cottage is no smoking.

Pre-arrival:-
The cottage is quite accessible by public transport. There is a regular
bus service from Haverfordwest Station through Solva and onto
St.Davids, but from Solva there is just under ¾ mile walk to
cottage.
There is no internet access.
There is mobile phone reception.
Arrival and Parking
There is parking for 2 cars and easy access to both front and back doors of the cottage.
The pathways are smooth; however there is a small gravel/ grass area near where cars are parked.
Neither door has a step.
Inside
There is a bathroom and bedroom on the ground floor with access through the sitting room, (one step up).
There is one step into the kitchen.
All bedrooms have space for a cot
The rayburn provides constant heat and drying area.
Outside
The garden is completely enclosed and safe for both toddlers and dogs.
There is a newly laid patio area which is flush with back door, leading to the garage which houses play equipment.
