A warm welcome awaits visitors to Pennar Fach
Stable Cottage. Stable Cottage offers comfortable, spacious, single
story accommodation for two people; it is tucked away in the corner
of the farmyard, at the end of a farm lane, so the only passing
traffic would be the occasional horse. This is the ideal quiet base
for relaxing, exploring or undertaking more strenuous activities,
which are available near by. These activities include marked cycle
routes, golf, fly fishing, sea fishing, sailing, pony trekking, quad
biking, paint ball games, canoeing, and a narrow gauge railway. For
wildlife enthusiasts there is a Red Kite feeding station at
Lampeter, however Red Kites can be regularly seen floating over the
farm yard at Pennar Fach.
Pennar Fach is a working farm with sheep and
horses, less than two miles from the secret cove of Cwmtydu, which
is home and nursery to families of several rare seals, which can be
seen in the autumn. Near by there is a choice of rocky coves or
sandy beaches, including New Quay famous for its dolphins and
porpoises. All offer wonderful walks, an abundance of wild flowers,
mosses, ferns and birds. Pennar Fach also has lovely woodland walks
and special places, which offer permanent and seasonal homes to a
wide variety of wild birds. It has its own resident wild life,
including foxes, badgers, otters and deer all of which have been
seen on the farm.
The accommodation sleeps two; the bedroom has a comfortable ornate
king size bedstead, built in wardrobe and en-suite fully tiled
bathroom with a sit in shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel
rail. The modern kitchen / dining room is fitted with a gas hob/
electric oven with extractor fan, a microwave, and fridge with
icebox. The light airy sitting room has French windows to a private
patio area with barbecue and is cosy and contemporary with a gas log effect stove
and large soft settees, ideal for reading, lounging, listening to
CDs or radio, or watching the digital television (with DVD). Linen
and towels are provided but not beach towels and the bed will be
made up for your arrival) Heating and gas
inclusive. Safe convenient parking. Non-smoking. Pet or horse by
