The cottage is recently refurbished and newly
decorated and is situated about one mile from the pretty
seaside town of New Quay, on the Ceredigion Heritage Coast. Here
there is a sheltered harbour and safe sandy beaches where the famous
Cardigan Bay Dolphins can be seen from the pier on most days during
the summer months. New Quay also offers boat trips with wonderful
opportunities to enjoy Cardigan Bay's wildlife. Other important
wildlife in the area include the rare Chough, the Red Kite and the
Grey seal. A short
distance to the south are the beautiful beaches of Cwmtydu, Penbryn,
Tresaith and Mwnt.

About the farm - Set high on the cliffs of
Cardigan Bay just outside the bustling seaside town of New Quay this
working sheep farm offers some of the best views in the area.
Set well away from any roads, this is a really safe environment for
children with plenty of space for them to play ball games etc. The
owner
can often be persuaded to take children for a ride on one of the
tractors but this is of course only with their parents' consent and
is work load and weather dependent. There are eggs to be
collected, and of course there are always
sheep, with the lambs and sometimes piglets too being born in the spring.
There are two sheep dogs, Flossy and her daughter Maisie and two
cats, Max and Harry that you will no doubt see during your stay. All
are very friendly.
Red kites and buzzards can be seen regularly and there have been
several sightings of foxes and badgers walking across the fields.
The nearest
large pond has an abundance of fish and also attracts beautiful
dragon flies, plus a heron who visits
quite regularly. It is a very tranquil place to sit and relax with a
book or just let the world drift by.
