Tyddyn Hen is part of the historic Plas-Y-Wern Estate where The Earl of Richmond, later to become Henry VII stayed in 1485 on his way to the Battle of Bosworth Field. Tyddyn Hen was originally built around 1270 and has original cruck beams in the vaulted sitting room / kitchen / diner. Ty Twt is the self-contained annexe of our stone and slate farmhouse which stands in an elevated position over-looking the Victorian fishing village of New Quay. This picturesque little town is part of the beautiful, unspoilt Cardigan Bay Heritage Coast, noted for its dolphins, red kites, buzzards and other wildlife. In New Quay and the surrounding area there are several sandy beaches accessible by road or by footpath from the cottage. It is about 15 minutes walk down a steep path into the town. A pet is welcome.
