Location and Directions

Directions from Cardigan/Newcastle Emlyn:

From Cardigan, take the A484 (signposted Carmarthen). Carry on along this road until you reach Newcastle Emlyn – again continue on this road, bypassing the town and need to turn right to take the B4333 (signposted Cynwyl Elfed).

Carry on along this road for 5 miles, you'll go through a deep dip in the road, and shortly afterwards there'll be two right hand turnings on the right hand side - one signposted Trelech, the other (a sharp right turn) signposted Tanglwst (there’s also a sign for ‘Malindi Lodge’), which is the one you need to take.

Follow the road down into Tanglwst and to a crossroads, where you will have a small chapel on your right hand side. Turn left here and we are the first farmhouse that you come to on the road itself. (There is a long row of stone buildings facing the road).


Directions to the cottages from the M4 (SE/SW of England):

If you take the M4/A48 to Carmarthen, you then need to use the bypass which takes you past Glangwili Hopsital (signposted for Cardigan A484). At the mini-roundabout, take the second exit, which takes you onto the A484.

Continue along that road until you get to Cynwyl Elfed. Just after the Bluebell pub and shop, there's a left hand fork (the B4333) signposted Hermon, which you need to take.

Follow that through Hermon etc. After several miles on your left hand side there will be two turnings to the left - one signposted Trelech, the other Tanglwst (There's also a sign for ‘Malindi Lodge’), which is the one you need to take.
