A charming converted 18th century stone and slate blacksmith's workshop, in the delightful little village of Oakford, set off the main coast road only 4 from the nearest beach at New Quay. 

The Old Smithy was recently sympathetically renovated to a high standard, keeping many of the original features including its two foot thick stone walls and vaulted oak ceiling. 

The large master bedroom and a novel mezzanine floor in the second bedroom means it can comfortably sleep a family of 4 to 5, making it perfect for a family break in West Wales. 

PROPERTY DETAILS 

Renovated to a high standard, the cottage has central heating as well as a wood-burning stove and is full of character. As most of the rooms are on the ground floor, the cottage is ideal for people with mobility problems. 

Living Room 
14 foot high vaulted oak ceiling, centered around a wood buning stove. Two sofas and a wicker bowl chair to seat five. CD player and radio. Traditional Welsh dresser and side table holding a range of books, board games and information on the surrounding area and activities. 
Kitchen 
Fully fitted and equipped kitchen with Belfast sink, fridge/freezer, microwave, ceramic hob and oven. Leads onto utility area with washing machine, sink, drying area and additional toilet. Door opens onto garden. 
Dining Area 
With table and chairs for 4 people. French doors open onto patio area and garden. 
Master and Second Bedrooms 
The master bedroom contains a double bed. The second bedroom has a split mezzanine area with a single bed on each floor, and a further cot on the ground floor. Please note that the steps to reach the mezzanine floor are very steep. 
Bathroom 
Bath with power shower, wash basin and WC. Large airing cupboard available for storage during your stay. 
General 
There is plenty of parking for two cars. 
The cottage is well equipped for babies and children, with a large lawn at the rear of the property. The kitchen units can have child locks activated for your arrival. 

Prices: £295 (low season)  to £495 (high season)

Please note 

No smoking is allowed within the property. 

Prices include bed linen, tea towels, electricity and central heating. 

A refundable damage and extra cleaning deposit of £50 will be charged with your booking. 

No pets, except guide dogs. 

Changeover day is Saturday. Arrival time is 4:00pm and departure time is 10:00am. 

The stairs to the mezzanine bedroom are very steep and should be used with caution.
