In the heart of
bustling New Quay, Captain’s Rendezvous overlooks the picturesque Dolau
Beach. The perfect location for a relaxing holiday with a sheltered
harbour and safe beaches, New Quay offers a variety of attractions
including sailing, fishing, windsurfing and a vibrant selection of
restaurants and pubs for the evening. The beachfront location means the
apartment is just 30m from Dolau Beach, with its mixture of sand,
shells and pebbles, with plenty of rock pools and safe bathing. 150m
away are the quayside and harbour with its clean sandy bottom and the
popular South Beach. South Beach has its own designated swimming area
with lifeguard cover. A little further along, past the lifeboat station
and the sailing school is the even bigger Cei Bach beach. All are rated
as ‘Blue Flag’ beaches for water quality.

ACCOMMODATION
- The accommodation comprises three double bedrooms: 1
master bedroom with king-size bed, 1 bedroom with standard double bed
and 1 bedroom with twin singles. There is also a travel cot and high
chair available for infants. The master bedroom has an en-suite
bathroom, with full size bath and shower. All linen and towels (except
beach towels and cot sheets) are provided.
There is a separate main bathroom, again with full size bath and
shower. The lounge/dining area allows for a full size three-piece
suite, TV (with Free view options), DVD/CD player, books and games, and
a dining table and chairs.

The separate kitchen includes full size cooker,
microwave, dishwasher, and full size fridge/freezer. It is equipped
with all necessary crockery, cutlery, pans, glasses and the all
important bottle opener. We like to leave the basics such as pepper and
salt, cooking oil etc for our guests to use, and only ask that you
replace any if you finish them!
The large windows allow perfect viewing of the beach and bay, so you
can enjoy your meals and try dolphin spotting without any effort
whatsoever! It is worth noting that Cardigan Bay is one of only two
places in the UK with resident dolphins.

Whilst there is no garden with the apartment, there is ample public
seating within 15m of the front door, overlooking the beach.
Overlooking
the picturesque Dolau beach, the first floor apartment is located on
the junction of Wellington Place and Church Street. The Grade II listed
building, has been sympathetically adapted from a former warehouse and
sail loft dating from the 1850s to provide a high standard of comfort
and stylish accommodation.
All the amenities you may need from restaurants, to pubs, to groceries,
ice creams and fish and chips are all immediately at hand. The local
shops are of a high standard, offering a wide variety of quality goods
and very friendly service.
The area is historically linked with Dylan Thomas, poet and author of
‘Under Milk Wood’, and there is a well sign posted route to trace his
favourite haunts. The village of New Quay is no newcomer to catering
for holidaymakers. It was welcoming 10,000 visitors a year in Queen
Victoria’s day.
