3 Marine Terrace, New Quay - Sleeps 8 + Wi-Fi
Within a short walking distance of the harbour, beach, shops and restaurants, 3 Marine Terrace is an attractive four-bedroom cottage on a hillside overlooking the village with beautiful views of Cardigan Bay. New Quay has lovely sandy beaches and is famous for its wild dolphins, stunning walks along the Ceredigion Coastal Path and a place to visit for fans of Dylan Thomas. The house has a woodburner and central heating, so it is an ideal place to stay any time of the year. Sleeps 8 – 2 double bedrooms and 2 bunk bed rooms. Wi-Fi available.
Accommodation: Both double bedrooms and the front bunk bed room have sea views. At the rear is a sunny terraced garden with a large picnic table and a summer house on the top stone terrace with panoramic sea views over the top of the house of the sea and the Quay. Parking is available on the road outside. Marine Terrace is a cul-de-sac with a turning circle at the end and has access for residents only. Linen can be hired separately through my keyholder on request.
First Floor: Main bedroom - 1 king sized double bed, sea views, small TV and ensuite shower room.
Second double bedroom - 1 king sized double bed, with sea views and french doors opening onto the decking to the rear leading to the garden.
Front bunk bed room - 2 single bed, bunk bed room with sea views.
Rear bunk bed room - 2 single bed, rear bunk bed room with view of the garden.
There is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Towels and linen, high chairs and cots are not included but can be hired from the housekeeping service. Duvets and pillows are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
Ground floor: The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, a fridge freezer and dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine and dryer, ironing board and iron. Dining room with table and chairs for 8 people and wifi. Sitting room with log burner, large corner sofa and small two seated sofa, TV, and recording digibox. There is full oil fired central heating, hot water and electricity are included. Logs for the wood burner are not provided but can be purchased from shops in New Quay.
Garden: There are some steep steps from the kitchen
into the terraced garden. The garden is very steep and may not be suitable
for very young children. There is a stone terrace near the top with a large
picnic table with views over the top of the house to the sea and the quay.
On the top terrace there is a summer house with even better panoramic views.
There is a portable BBQ. Also at the rear of the property, there is a small
table on the decking adjacent to the second bedroom. To the front of the
property there is a small seating area with a bench.
Restrictions: No pets and strictly no smoking in the house please.
The house is used regularly by the owners who would ask you to respect their personal belongings.
Security / breakages deposit: The owner requires a refundable £100 Security / breakages deposit to be paid with the balance of payment to the owner.
Coast/Beach: Cardigan Bay is 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', home to Bottle Nosed Dolphins, porpoises and seals and one of the most unspoilt and undiscovered parts of the UK.
Apart from the sandy beaches in New Quay, nearby there are also beautiful National Trust sandy beaches at Penbryn and Mwnt, and beaches and nice pubs to eat at Llangrannog and Tresaith.
Further Details: The New Quay beaches are relatively sheltered and there is a supervised swimming area on the main beach in the high season in the summer. There are boat trips to see the dolphins, sailing and kayaking lessons available on the main beach. There are beautiful walks along the Ceredigion Coastal Path accessed from the end of Marine Terrace.
